Top practitioners will be bringing the Phantom of the Opera to the Bristol Hippodrome 2012
The Phantom of the Opera will be bring some of the most exciting names in dance, theatre and production to the Hippodrome when it opens in 2012.
Cameron Mackintosh will be bringing the immensely popular musical to the city, which has been running for 25 years in London’s West End.
The brand new production will feature John Owen-Jones as The Phantom and Katie Hall as Christine.
The production will have two of the UK dance scene’s best names working on it, with New Adventure’s Scott Ambler providing the choreography and Matthew Bourne overseeing the production with Cameron Mackintosh.
Cameron Mackintosh said ”After 25 phenomenal years and a glorious celebration of the show’s success at the Royal Albert Hall at the start of this month, I’m delighted to announce that a spectacular new production of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s legendary musical will open its National Tour next March in Plymouth. With an exciting new design and staging, retaining Maria Björnson’s amazing costumes, be the first to surrender to the music of the night and fall in love with the Phantom in his new guise all over again”.
The Phantom of the Opera will be The Bristol Hippodrome from 22 May – 30 June 2012.
General tickets to go on sale 10 November 2011.
