Primary school uniform costs parents average £146.50
It’s supposed to promote equality, pride and practicality, but school uniform is creating divides as cash-strapped parents struggle to pay for basics.
Children in senior school are costing an average of £1,555 in basic school uniform over five years.
But annoyingly, even an primary school uniform is causing parents to pay out £146.50 each year or £879 over six years.
The survey by Wrappler.com, wasn’t even taking into consideration winter clothes, boots or summer uniform.
