Bath Festival of Nature will be celebrating its 15th birthday at this year’s free event which takes place on Saturday 02 June 2018.
Events include fossil detective, science experiments, discovering insects and meeting scientists from University of Bath.
The first 1,000 visitors will get a free packet of wildflower seeds.
From 6pm, there will be an after-dark wildlife pop-up party in Green Park Station as part of Bath Fringe Festival. Visitors will be able to explore art, science, nature and technology alongside beer, pizza and live music.
Director at Bristol Nature History Consortium, which organises the festival, Savita Willmott said: “Bristol and Bath’s colossal effort in the City Nature Challenge proves yet again that the region is made up of amazing wildlife lovers. We’re excited to carry on the celebrations and mark the 15th year of bringing nature to life with our biggest festival yet. From interactive workshops, augmented reality and getting up close to real life wildlife, our varied programme promises a brilliant day out for nature lovers and will inspire city dwellers to help protect our natural world.”
