Bristol Mayor Election Hustings For Education

Bristol Mayor Election Hustings:

Prospective mayoral candidates standing in the 2020 Bristol Mayoral Election, will be coming to a hustings to answer questions from the public about education issues in Bristol.

The free event will see current Labour mayor Marvin Rees, answer public questions alongside Liberal Democrat candidate Mary Page, Conservative candidate Samuel Williams, Green candidate Sandy Hore-Ruthven and independent candidate Christine Townsend.

The event, hosted by Bristol 24/7 editor Martin Booth, takes place on Monday 30 March from 7.30pm until 9.30pm at The Station in Central Bristol.

The Bristol Send Alliance, with support from the National Education Union (NEU), set up the hustings to give Bristol residents a chance to find out what plans prospective candidates have for education in the city.

Autism Independence, Bristol SEND Justice and Bristol Send Crisis are working together to stage the event, with Send likely to play a significant role on the agenda.

The Bristol Mayoral Election is due to take place on 07 May 2020, alongside local elections and the election for Avon and Somerset’s Police and Crime Commission
