Bristol Police Arrest Seven in Connection with Drugs in Two Days

Bristol Police have made seven arrests in connection with drugs in Easton and Montpelier since Tuesday 24 April.

The busy bobbies first arrested a pair at a house on Daisy Road in Easton. Cannabis was found growing at the property and a hoard of cash totalling £2000 was discovered. A 41 year-old woman has since been released without charge.

In a separate incident, officers spotted a drug exchange taking place on Stapleton Road. When stopping the taxi a pair of teens had made off in, two packages of suspected Class A drugs, cash and phones were discovered. The driver and two passengers – from the St Paul’s area – were all arrested.

Acting on intelligence from the community, officers also arrested a 25-year-old man from Montpelier who was dealing drugs directly outside of his Gwyn Street home. A search of his house yielded suspected class A drugs and drug wraps hidden in the garden.

Later in the day, another drug exchange was witnessed by police on Brigstock Road, in St Paul’s. The suspect fought with police who arrested him on suspicion on supplying drugs on Hepburn Road. The man has been released under investigation.

Police Say: Easton Neighbourhood Sergeant Chris Green said: “These arrests were made after we received intelligence on suspicious activity in the area. Dealing drugs in the street in the middle of the day is just not acceptable and isn’t something communities, should have to deal with. We will keep running these operations and acting on the information we’re receiving to keep the pressure high.

“It’s really important that anyone with information gets in touch with us so we can help to reduce the harm caused by drugs in local communities.”
