LSE Grosvenor House London Review

LSE Grosvenor House
Drury Lane

Twin Room
We paid £80.64 for one night

When you are on a West End theatre binge, you need a budget friendly hotel that’s clean, organised and right in the heart of London. It’s a big ask in a city with astronomical hotel prices, but it can be done.

Earlier in the summer holidays, we stayed at LSE Northumberland House. It was a really positive experience, but unfortunately, there were no rooms on the dates we needed. However, LSE Grosvenor House did have space and was also right in the heart of theatre land on Drury Lane.

The location is perfect for nearly every major theatre show. We needed to be in a reasonably short walking distance of Shaftesbury Avenue which this place was. We also wanted to pay less than £100 per night, with basic but clean a necessity.

LSE Grosvenor House was perfect. We chose a twin room which was clean, light and airy. It included towels, toiletries, tea and coffee and a fully equipped kitchen. It was a ten minute walk to Shaftesbury Avenue, 30 seconds to the Theatre Royal on Drury Lane and one minute to the Fortune Theatre.

There’s so much space in this room, making it ideal for longer stays at a reasonable price.
