Online resource to help young people monitor their epilepsy

An online resource to help teenagers and young people monitor their epilepsy, has been launched by the National Centre for Young People with Epilepsy (NCYPE).

The password-protected ‘seizure diary’, is free to use and aims to help young people keep a record of how the condition affects them.

The diary can also be printed off to be shared with professionals involved with their care.

NCYPE Childhood Epilepsy Information Services Manager, Gill Gallagher said: “This is a fantastic resource that the NCYPE is able to offer teenagers and young people with epilepsy. We believe this diary will help users take control of their condition.

“It’s been tested by teenagers and designed specifically with this age-group in mind so it is very colourful and easy to use and has lots of features that will appeal to them.”
