West Somerset Railway Santa Express in Minehead is a Win
I didn’t think a seven year old and ten year old would be that fussed about Santa on a train. How wrong was I? The West Somerset Railway (WSR) Santa Special at Minehead was brilliant fun. Steam trains are cool. The engineering, the design, it’s epic. Just watching them pulling away is so fascinating and passing waiting cars on a level crossing as the train puffed across the road was beyond exciting.
WSR put on a great bit of entertainment complete with sherry, hot mince pies, chocolates and entertainer for the kids. We travelled from Minehead to Blue Anchor where upon each carriage disembarked to meet Santa in a special grotto.
