Sky Dancer by Gill Lewis – Review

Sky Dancer is a beautifully written story following a community at odds against locally nesting hen harriers.

The drama is told through the eyes of Joe, a child whose world and environment has become alien since the death of his father.

The flow and pace of the book is fantastic. The language, content and style is perfect for children in Year 4 – age 8/9, who would benefit from the more challenging ethical messages in stories as well as prose that would be beneficial to developing their own writing style and vocabulary in core English lessons.
