Sn-ap Coach Service and app Launches Bristol to London Commuting on Luxury Coaches

Sn-ap Coach Service for cheap coaches on luxury transport from Bristol to London

Is it possible to get a luxury coach from Bristol to Central London for less than the price of the cheapest single fair just travelling around Bristol using First Bus? It is now.

If you travel regularly by coach from Bristol, you may have found some of your journeys a bit like ours.

Stressful – Check
Smelling of urine – Check
The strong possibility there will be a fisticuffs between angry passengers – Check

There was also our favourite journey involving a driver from a well known coach chain National Express who got lost in Nether Stowey, took a wrong turn down a country lane and marooned the back of the vehicle on a dry stone wall. Fun times.

But going by train is not that much better. There’s that heart sinking moment when you emerge on the platform at Temple Meads Station to find 200 hundred commuters anxiously waiting for a a train with two carriages. It suddenly goes a bit Hunger Games.

That’s why it was really exciting to meet transport visionary Thomas Ableman, in Bristol today. Thomas is the founder of Sn-ap, a ground breaking intercity coach service that lets travellers choose pick-up and drop off points to suit them and on luxury coaches.

Sn-ap was founded in 2016 based on the idea that intercity coach travel could be improved by giving the customer a more tailored experience. It utilises luxury coaches used by weekend sports teams that sit empty during the week. Only top quality coach firms are allowed to run Sn-ap services, with customers asked to rate their journey on a star basis once they have disembarked.

Services run according to customer need. You can book on a confirmed journey or express an interest in one that is still building. Once that journey is filled, you will receive a confirmation. You can even order more than one seat to yourself for extra comfort.

Passengers with a disability can also enter in details regarding the need to travel with a carer during the booking process.

Looking through the app, we managed to find a convenient pick up point happily situated outside a cafe. This means instead of going through the stressful queuing process at the bus station, you can track your coach on the app and simply pop outside when it is near. This makes it ideal for adults and children on the autistic spectrum who find queuing, transitioning and the sensory overload of busy places too difficult to manage.

Currently, Sn-ap are using independent family run businesses like Berkeley Coach and Travel, who know how important high quality service is to those travelling with them.

“Coach is the ideal intercity travel solution: It’s environmentally sound and cost-effective to run,” Thomas Ableman said.

“We can pick-up and drop-off at a variety of flexible locations, rather than taking you to a fixed terminus, you don’t want to go to and – thanks to new technology – you can manage the whole experience on your mobile phone.”

Sn-ap are only running services from Bristol to London at the moment, but there’s plans to expand to more cities.
