Community garden project for Speedwell and Hillfields

Residents in Hillfields and Speedwell are being invited to join in and help set up a new community garden.

The event has been organised by the Safer Bristol Partnership who want to involve as many residents as possible with the garden’s future and development.

Julia Gagliardi, is the community safety officer for the Safer Bristol who co-ordinates community safety work in the Hillfields area. She said: “We want to involve as many residents as possible to give us their ideas on how they want they garden landscaped, on what uses”

“This is a great opportunity for local people to grow their own fruit and vegetables working together, for their own consumption or to sell,  to hold community events.”

“We want as many people was possible to join in and give us their ideas and help”.
