Fraudsters rip off tax credit system without being deterred by Greensleeves

HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC) officers are slapping themselves on the back after a successful dawn swoop on tax credit fraudsters.

Seven addresses in Glasgow were raided, leading to 30 tax credit claimants’ addresses across the UK being searched.

Those detained are believed to be part of an organised crime group involved in somehow making many successful fraudulent claims for fictitious children through the nightmare tax credit system.
