Money saving tips from expert Cesarina Holm-Kander

Research released by washing up brand Fairy Liquid, reveals that mums are having to cut back and become more savvy with their cash.

Making savings on the weekly supermarket shop is now done by 54 per cent of families as a major way of freeing up the budget.

But mums are also making cut backs in their own personal spending.

Fairy found that 52 per cent of mums reduced spending on themselves and their partners and 45 per cent reduced their own social budget in order to make sure their child got the best of everything.

It may be term time again, but over the summer holidays parent’s pockets have been raided by their children.

It has been an expensive six week period with 21 per cent of parents spending a whopping £200 – £300 pound on their children.
