Minister for Culture visits Bristol Old Vic

The Minister for Culture, Margaret Hodge, visited Bristol today.
As part of a wider tour of the city, she took time to visit the Bristol Old Vic, meeting new Artistic and Executive Directors Tom Morris and Emma Stenning.
On a tour of the building she was shown the new developments and told about the future direction the theatre will be taking.
Speaking during her visit, Margaret Hodge said: “What I’ve seen is a fantastic, exciting, innovative team of creators who have a string of success behind them. Now we have a fantastic opportunity in the hidden spaces of Bristol Old Vic to do great creative work. If we can bring it all together we will see a successful rebirth. An old name, with a new venture, reflecting the creativity in the city”.
