Settle your baby with the Lullaby Gloworm

Many of us will remember the Lullaby Gloworm from our own 80s childhood. Those of us who watched on jealously as other children gently cradled them can rest assure their own children need not be deprived. Playskool presents a fresh-faced faithful to the original Gloworm complete with glowing light and six soothing lullabies.

We gave a Lullaby Gloworm to Bristol mum Debs, and daughter Megan (2):

“Meg liked it and named it Baby, though sometimes she called it Blaze after her best friend at nursery, which I thought was quite apt considering it lights up.

“I liked it because it is quite easy to take around if it becomes your child’s favourite toy. She can also activate it quite easily herself.

“The music is nice and actually quite relaxing for the parent as well as child and the sound quality is good.

“I would recommend this as a great present to buy for either newborn or first birthday. Even though Meg is nearly three she still loves it.

“I think it would be a lot better for children who are scared of the dark instead of the stupid plug lights you get that actually attract the child to the plug socket because it makes electricity exciting!

“It looks quite pleasing. It’s nice to look at instead of one of those hideous, horrid, scary looking dolls with a great big gaping hole where a dummy should be.

“I think it is very well made. It has been thrown around, bounced off walls and it will travel well. I like the colour as well.

“The only thing I would say is that after a few months it will be difficult to clean. If you have got a kid that’s puked on it, it may be a bit grim. But then I think it is a brilliant toy and you can’t have everything.”
