Mothers have the biggest influence on their children’s spending habits.<\/p>\n
New research has found that 36 per cent of people have been influenced by their mum compared to 32 per cent by their dad and 3 per cent by grandparents.<\/p>\n
M&S Money polled 1000 people about how their family influenced their finances.<\/p>\n
But this is a turn up considering 55 per cent of people grew up in a family where dad took control of the household money.<\/p>\n
Chief Executive of M&S Money, Colin Kersley said:\u201cWhile it may not always have been our mothers who controlled large financial decisions and the overall household budget when we were growing up, it seems they are now the ones who we are most likely to turn to for advice on day to day matters such as saving and spending.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
