\u00a0Parents worry their children may grow up with fewer photographs of their childhood due to the file loss.<\/p>\n
With\u00a0photographs now being stored on several devices such as computers, mobile phones and memory sticks, 43 per cent of mums said their family photographs have disappeared through loss, theft or hardware failure.<\/p>\n
A total of 1,200 mothers across Europe were surveyed by YuuWaa for the research.<\/p>\n
Parents admitted to being confused about where they had saved family photographs, with 47 per cent admitting to not backing up at all.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Spokesperson for YuuWaa, Juana Catalina Rodriguez said: \u201cGone are the days where parents kept volumes of family albums in the attic for future generations to look at. Sadly due to the common problem of data loss from laptop, camera or other hardware failure and loss, the children of today may even grow up with little or no photographic memories of their childhood. Unlike physical storage devices, an online environment cannot be lost or damaged, thus enabling mums and families to safely backup and share personal digital memories forever\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
