The early months coping with a new baby is not made any easier with the havoc a young infant wreaks on sleeping habits.<\/p>\n
In fact, one in ten couples find it easier to sleep in separate beds for up to a year just to get a good night’s sleep.<\/p>\n
Whilst three in five fathers are getting up during the night to deal with a crying baby, 23 per cent of mothers are taking sleep remedies to help themselves get some sleep.<\/p>\n
For some parents it doesn’t get any easier as time goes by.<\/p>\n
A total of 14 per cent continue to take sleeping tables for up to 18 months after the birth, and one in twelve parents let their baby sleep in bed with them every night until the age of one year.<\/p>\n
The results from the study of 2,000 parents by The Baby Show, coincides with the event taking place at Birmingham\u2019s NEC from 20 -22 May 2011.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
