Parents are concerned not enough is being done to keep children safe online despite 11 per cent having no idea what their children actually\u00a0get up to\u00a0on the internet.<\/p>\n
A study by AMD found that 77.3 per cent of parents think there are more risks for children using the internet now than just five years ago.<\/p>\n
And, 54.8 per cent worry that not enough is being done to educate families and children on how to stay safe.<\/p>\n
But while parents can use software control to restrict access and monitor the sites their child uses, 37 per cent of parents would rather somebody else took responsibility for their child’s safety.<\/p>\n
They believe the government, industry bodies and the media should use their influence to pick up the slack where parents don’t.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
