<\/a><\/a>Mother of two Leanne Curtis-Cobb, created Quack Quack Moo after discovering the parenting products she was using for her children just couldn’t cope. She wanted the simple things we have all craved, such as a bib that is both water-proof and cannot be pulled off by a baby. And, how many mothers have been told off by little old ladies because it’s the middle of winter and the baby keeps kicking off the blanket?<\/p>\n

Leanne decided enough was enough, and utilising her first class honours degree in Fashion Design and Fashion Business, she launched a range of useful and stylish parenting products.<\/p>\n

Most of the products are fabric based and constructed with a triple layer of bamboo towel, Polyurethane Laminate (PUL) and organic cotton with a fantastic cow print. They are also available in colours for boys, girls or neutral.<\/p>\n

The PUL,is soft as well as being 100 per cent waterproof. It can be machine washed and tumble dried.<\/p>\n

Leanne says: \u201cI began developing baby clothing and products because those on the market just weren\u2019t doing it for me.<\/p>\n

\u201cI found them substandard and unable to cope with the demands of everyday parenthood. I have two young children and needed products that were practical, convenient and effective, so I started inventing and designing my own\u201d.<\/p>\n

\nThe Hooded Blanket<\/strong><\/p>\n

This is a truly super-soft blanket. One you just have to keep touching. It’s warm, fits well and is the right size for a pram. What makes this blanket special is the detachable hood. This keeps the blanket either over or under the child stopping them\u00a0from kicking\u00a0it off.\u00a0 Cleverly, the blanket’s hood will keep their head warm, making it\u00a0perfect for those children who won’t wear a hat. Two problems solved in one clever product. It washes well and the hood and blanket will fit over an adult. Ideal for late nights when you can’t get on the internet until the kids have gone to bed and it’s just so cold!<\/p>\n

The Multi Mat<\/strong><\/p>\n

Car seat and buggy protectors for potty and toilet training children are starting to pop up more frequently after years of a glaring gap in the market. The Quack Quack Moo one is an excellent choice as it will fit into any car seat or pram\/buggy with its hole for the five-point harness. The Multi Mat is particularly ideal for use in the car as it has two side pockets for toys or refreshments to go in. In our tests, the mat was great for containing accidents, fitted five different styles of prams and three different car seats without hassle. It is easy wash \u2013 something pram seats are not. For car sick children this is ideal. Sick stinks, even after what it has covered has been washed. You also do not have to go through the hassle of removing and washing the car seat fabric should a child have an accident.<\/p>\n

The Bed Protectors<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Bed Protector has been designed to fit on top of the usual bedsheets. This means that if your child has an accident at night, you only need to remove the top layer. As with the Multi Mat, there are a few of these designs already creeping on the market, some of which are excellent. The Quack Quack Moo Bed protector has one clear advantage. This is the straps keeping it in one position on the bed. Removable stretchy straps, easily placed and connected under the mattress stop it from sliding around or off the bed as the child moves.<\/p>\n

As a mobile waterproof solution it is pretty good. But, as with every other design on the market that we have encountered, the Bed Protector will only protect the area it covers. For children who do not move much during the night, this will be fine. But for children who tend to roll up and down beds finally weeing into the pillow, it will not be big enough. We found it more useful to remove the straps entirely and use it length ways. It covers far more of the bed.<\/p>\n

The Handie Holdie<\/strong><\/p>\n

If found Leanne Curtis-Cobb found the Handie Holdie worked with her children she must be very lucky. The Handie Holdie is a buggy strap that attaches to the side of the pram and your young child learns to walk with you by holding onto it. We found it quite useful to sling over the pram handle and attach toys and bits to, but for getting a child to hold on it it? Not one in five very young children we tried it out on were the least bit interested as they disappeared into the distance.<\/p>\n

The Shoulder Chuck<\/strong><\/p>\n

This is a burping cloth that goes over the shoulder stopping baby sick covering you in the parts you can’t see. Whilst most new mothers will simply use a muslin cloth, this slightly more expensive option does have some advantages.<\/p>\n

The Burping Cloth is water-proof, meaning sick won’t soak through. It is quite weighty,so it stays \u00a0sitting in the right place and not sent floating away by a mere draught. It can also double up as a little bib with a catch pocket. Ideal when babies and toddlers are eating small items like raisins in the pram.<\/p>\n

Dribble Bib<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Dribble Bib is brilliant. It’s very soft on the neck and has a popper instead of Velcro, stopping a baby from pulling it off. The only drawback here is babies with unusually long hair who don’t seem to fit any style of bib. It’s tricky trying to get the popper to do up\u00a0at the\u00a0back but also no easier with Velcro alternatives.<\/p>\n

The\u00a0soft fabric makes this bib ideal for babies\u00a0to wear during period of dribbling teething.<\/p>\n
