There will be mixed feelings today as children in the UK return to school.<\/p>\n
Research from The Walt Disney Company finds that 35 per cent of children are actually looking forward to heading back to school.<\/p>\n
Catching up with friends, moving up a year and a new lunch box were the main causes of excitement.<\/p>\n
A total of 1,700 UK parents were surveyed for the research.<\/p>\n
It also found 23 per cent of parents were sad at losing their children back to the school, but 26 per cent were relieved to have more time to themselves.<\/p>\n
Family psychologist Corinne Sweet says: \u201cDisney\u2019s research brings to light the interesting set of contradictory emotions we have all experienced as parents when our kids go back to school. On the one hand we are excited as we pack them off on the first day, but also relieved that we have some more time to ourselves as the summer break can be exhausting.\u201d<\/p>\n
