A new service is being launched, helping parents to cut down on the amount of paperwork and time needed to update government authorities about a change in circumstances.<\/p>\n
Tell Us Once is to be rolled out across the country, and will allow those registering births and deaths to notify only one office.<\/p>\n
The scheme will allow up to eleven different services to be notified about a birth of death as long as users bring along all relevant paperwork.<\/p>\n
Programme director Lyn McDonald says: \u201cWe\u2019ve done away with the red tape that usually confronts a person wanting to report a change in their circumstances to government.<\/p>\n
\u201cIn a single appointment at their local authority, a person can notify all the relevant government departments and service authorities of their circumstances.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt\u2019s a service that saves time and money. We\u2019re providing a simple process that responds to the specific needs of people who need to be with their families and not on the phone to government authorities at a time when they need it most.\u201d<\/p>\n
