Parents are more clued up these days when it comes to getting discounts off their shopping.<\/p>\n
According to findings by The Baby Show, 83 per cent of parents use vouchers and discount codes when shopping.<\/p>\n
And the impulse buys have stopped, with 78 per cent carefully researching products and comparing prices before committing to buy.<\/p>\n
Family holidays have been cut, along with 34 per cent stripping back the weekly food shop and 72 per cent not buying new clothes.<\/p>\n
Spokeswoman for The Baby Show, Melanie Hall said: “This poll is very insightful and highlights that parents are trying to adapt to these hard times.\u00a0\u00a0The financial pressures on families are huge and parents are trying to make the wisest possible choices.<\/p>\n
“Parents are taking the time to find out about products, investigating the\u00a0quality of it and comparing the prices before buying them. This savvy\u00a0shopping is helping them to save money which can be used for other things\u00a0such as paying bills. ”<\/p>\n
