{"id":17091,"date":"2012-05-15T10:51:07","date_gmt":"2012-05-15T09:51:07","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/chopsybaby.com\/magazine\/?p=17091"},"modified":"2018-07-02T13:54:56","modified_gmt":"2018-07-02T12:54:56","slug":"number-of-part-time-workers-in-the-south-west-increases","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/chopsybaby.com\/magazine\/number-of-part-time-workers-in-the-south-west-increases\/","title":{"rendered":"Number of part time workers in the South West increases"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The South West is a region of part time workers, with around 100,000 people working reduced hours because there are not enough full time jobs.<\/p>\n<p>According to a TUC analysis of official figures, the number of men forced to do part time work has jumped by a whopping 77 per cent.<\/p>\n<p>For women, the figures have also risen by 47 per cent.<\/p>\n<p>Though people may be working rather than being unemployed, the TUC say that this is &#8216;bad news&#8217; for family finances.<\/p>\n<p>South West TUC Regional Secretary, Nigel Costley said: Any job may be better than no job at all but people are having to make huge salary sacrifices to stay working. This is bad news for family finances and it is holding back our economy.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAny hope of an economic recovery that benefits everyone rests on the growth of well-paid, skilled, full-time jobs.
