Mother-in-laws need to butt out of their grown-up children’s lives, as they are one of the most common culprits for giving unwanted advice on how to bring up children.<\/p>\n
A study of 2,000 parents by Huggies Pull-Ups, found mums end up arguing or feeling sad about comments made by relatives, friends and strangers on the street. Especially those interfering with how the mother is coping with a situation or child raising technique.<\/p>\n
One in three mums fell out badly with the interferer, with potty training being the most troubling subject.<\/p>\n
Child Psychologist and spokesperson for\u00a0Pull-Ups, Emma Kenny said: \u201cFor many mums it can be difficult to hear comments about how their child isn\u2019t doing something by a certain age, or isn\u2019t behaving in a certain way.<\/p>\n
\u201cNot only does it raise concerns that there might be something wrong, but it could also indirectly criticise the mother by implying that she isn\u2019t doing a good enough job.<\/p>\n
