{"id":18302,"date":"2012-09-24T13:23:04","date_gmt":"2012-09-24T12:23:04","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/chopsybaby.com\/magazine\/?p=18302"},"modified":"2018-07-02T13:54:51","modified_gmt":"2018-07-02T12:54:51","slug":"happy-children-more-important-than-exam-results-research-finds","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/chopsybaby.com\/magazine\/happy-children-more-important-than-exam-results-research-finds\/","title":{"rendered":"Happy children more important than exam results research finds"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Forget parents pouring over Ofsted reports, exam results matter less to parents than their child being happy when choosing a school.<\/p>\n<p>Results of more than 420,000 surveys completed by parents, has found that discipline, teaching quality, the happiness of the children , control of bullying and caring teachers were the top five requirements of a school.<\/p>\n<p>The survey forms the research in Knowing Your Parents, published by Kirkland Rowell Surveys and the National Governors\u2019 Association.<\/p>\n<p>Chief Executive, National Governors\u2019 Association, Emma Knights said: \u201cGoverning bodies need to understand what parents think about their school. Parents\u2019 views can inform both the evaluation of the school\u2019s current performance, and the strategic plans for the future.
