What do the children of 2013 really want? Asks a new study from IKEA.<\/p>\n
While the parents really want IKEA customer services to answer the phone within half an hour, it seems children want simple family dinners, playing in the garden and having a story read to them.<\/p>\n
Reassuringly, 43 per cent of parents said they had more quality time with their children than they did with their own parents.<\/p>\n
And when it come to mum or dad worrying about children needing more space to play, 50 per cent of children said they would feel happier having more say into the way their bedrooms were decorated than living in a bigger house (26 per cent).<\/p>\n
IKEA spokesperson, Gemma Arranz, said: \u201cParents should be encouraged by the findings, as the study shows it is possible to bring the family together and make everyone happy without spending a fortune. It\u2019s about finding ways to integrate children into the home and giving them a little creative control over how it looks and feels.\u201d<\/p>\n
Now, if only IKEA can answer their phones a little faster, we would all have the extra time to do these things.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
