It’s a timeless classic, born in the West Country and now, almost unbelievably, over 40 years old.<\/p>\n
But the Wurzels are hitting the recording studio for another new rendition of their popular love song Combine Harvester, in a bid to highlight farm accidents.<\/p>\n
Despite the humour of their songs, randy bulls and drinking too much zider, farming is a dangerous occupation to be in, with 27 people dying in farming related accidents last year.<\/p>\n
Farm Safety Foundation Trustee, Rob Jones, \u00a0said: \u201cWhilst our video makes for enjoyable viewing, it has a serious message \u2013 too many farmers and their families are suffering as a result of unnecessary injuries or fatalities at work.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe\u2019re asking farmers of all ages to watch and share our video on their social media networks, and sign up to our safety pledge on our website. The Foundation is committed to helping farmers work more safely and we want to help young farmers to challenge poor and unsafe practices.\u201d<\/p>\n
