Four Bristol schools will benefiting from a nationwide share of \u00a354M to help improve their buildings.<\/p>\n
A total of 137 schools or educational establishments nationwide have been allocated funds for\u00a0essential work to be carried out.<\/p>\n
Colston’s Girls’ School,\u00a0St Bede’s Catholic College,\u00a0St Nicholas of Tolentine Catholic Primary School and\u00a0Woodlands Academy are the four schools\u00a0which will see work done on projects including access improvements, new boiler and replacement windows.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
The money will be coming from the Government’s\u00a0Condition Improvement Fund (CIF) for 2016 \u2013 17<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Education Secretary Nicky Morgan said:\u00a0\u201cEvery child should be taught in surroundings which allow them to fulfil their potential, and we have made significant investments in school buildings to ensure this happens.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe latest funding from the Condition Improvement Fund will help us to build on our progress, so that even more pupils and teachers have access to safe, high-quality classrooms.\u201d<\/p>\n
