Local tourist attraction Cheddar Gorge, and South West icon Stonehenge, both top a poll of places UK holiday makers want to visit.<\/p>\n
According to a survey of 1,000 holidaymakers, nine out of ten thought that visiting famous landmarks was preferable than a visit to entire cities.<\/p>\n
The survey by cottages4you, also found surprisingly that 88 per cent of holidaymakers think there are more interesting places to see in the UK than overseas. A surprising\u00a0 55 per cent wanted to visit the Blackpool Tower, compared to 14 per cent who want to visit the Egyptian pyramids.<\/p>\n
The top seven landmarks in Britain were voted as:<\/p>\n
