In the UK, one in six children suffer with eczema. Individual cases range from being mild, to widespread and extremely distressing.<\/p>\n

A recent survey by Oilatum Junior found that 37 per cent of parents are feeling helpless and frustrated when trying to cope with their child’s eczema. Other surveys have found that GPs don’t have enough time in appointments to really help parents learn how to treat the condition at home, and how to properly apply prescriptions.<\/p>\n

Eczema can strike at any age, including tiny babies, and with such an unpredictable condition, it can leave parents feeling even more exhausted and isolated.<\/p>\n

To help raise awareness of the impact eczema can have on a sufferer\u2019s family, Oilatum junior have teamed up with the National Eczema Society to launch a new ‘Parent of the Year Award’.<\/p>\n

The new award aims to recognise the struggles of parents who see their children suffer with the condition on a daily basis, whilst giving other parents inspiration on managing their own child’s condition with more confidence.<\/p>\n

The winner of this year\u2019s award will win a two day family trip to Alton Towers, including overnight accommodation.<\/p>\n
