100vw, 500px\" \/><\/a>\n\t\t\t<\/div><\/figure>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\n<p>The best time to go and soak up the absolute beauty of fish is in the winter season apparently. What was initially an exercise in sheltering from the windy Weston weather turned into the most unexpectedly brilliant family day out we&#8217;ve experienced in a while.<\/p>\n<p>Yes it&#8217;s true, the SeaQuarium on the blustery Weston seafront has seen better days. It&#8217;s a little tired in terms of presentation and decor, but the fact there was next to nobody else foolish enough to spend a day in the seaside town on such a bracing day meant that we really got a chance to spend time marvelling at the fish.<\/p>\n<p>Now generally fish are very much, ah yes lovely moving on, in our family. But with nobody else to jostle for viewing space it was possible to notice the beauty of each individual fish. Their natural camouflage. Their individual patterns, colours and textures. The expressions on their faces and their unique personalities as they swooped through the waters. In short, we were very impressed and entertained by fish. With nobody else nudging and whining through the attraction we were actually able to read the interesting facts on the walls. My children learned things, tempers remained intact and nobody got cross.<\/p>\n<p>In fact, when we set off from Bristol Temple Meads first thing in the morning, a review was about the furthest thing from my mind. But, as we had such a fantastic time I really wanted to spread the Joy of Fish in the wintertime.<\/p>\n<p>The great thing about the SeaQuarium is that once you have paid to get in, you can come and go as many times as you please throughout the day. It&#8217;s quite a small attraction, though bigger on the inside than appears from the beach. You could fly through the place in twenty minutes and mournfully contemplate your receipt. But we say, go when its cold. Go when its windy. Take time to really watch and read and it&#8217;s absolutely money well spent.
