We hadn&#8217;t but were pleasantly surprised when we investigated some of the ocean themed toys sets.<\/p>\n<p>With a big following in the US, Splashings recently launched in the UK market and are likely to be a huge hit.<\/p>\n<p>Children can collect the tiny sea pets, mermaids and create friendly underwater worlds with the fun characters.<\/p>\n<p>To go with the toys, there are\u00a0series of YouTube webisodes on the Splashlings website to accompany the toy. This makes it an ideal all-round toy package for youngsters who are so focused on the video sharing platform these days.<\/p>\n<p>We looked at the Splashlings Medical Clinic play set and Wave One 12 Splashlings Mermaid and Friends set.<\/p>\n<p>Though initially, it looks like it presents somewhere in the cheap plastic tat category, I was Surprised how much joy my six year old daughter got from playing with it. The age recommendation on the box is five years upwards. I would go so far as to say children from four years upwards would enjoy this toy.
