Something we learned when using the new Dylon Pod, is that it’s really important to read the instructions fully before attempting to use. And once you’ve read the instructions on the side, and more in depth instructions on the label, read them once more. For this is an activity that doesn’t work well on impulse. Nobody will thank you if you do.<\/p>\n

Having said that, what a brilliantly simple way to mass dye the Right Kind<\/strong> of fabrics. It’s a simple pod that you place into your washing machine that does all the messy, hard work.<\/p>\n

We had mixed results with our attempt, and that’s the last I shall ever speak of it. But, that was most likely due to rushing in on impulse with big ideas and the Wrong Kind<\/strong> of fabric. I skim read the instructions and thought What The Hell<\/strong>!<\/p>\n

One pod will dye up to 600g of dry white fabric to the desired shade. For best results dye cotton, linen and viscose.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Basic instructions for using DYLON Pods:<\/strong><\/p>\n

1. Put damp fabric into the drum<\/p>\n

2. Just remove the sleeve and peel the foil from the top, place the Pod directly into the drum of your washing machine and run a 40\u00b0C or 30\u00b0C cycle<\/p>\n

3. Run another cycle 40\u00b0C or 30\u00b0C with detergent<\/p>\n

DYLON Fabric Dyes\u2019 top dyeing tips:<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00b7 Weigh dry fabric to ensure you have sufficient dye for the desired effect<\/p>\n

\u00b7 No need for salt \u2013 it\u2019s already in the formula<\/p>\n

\u00b7 Dry fabric away from direct heat and sunlight (do not use a radiator)<\/p>\n

\u00b7 Only dye up to half of machine\u2019s maximum load to avoid patchy results<\/p>\n

The Pods are available in Wilkinson\u2019s, John Lewis, Dunelm, Robert Dyas and craft and haberdashery stores nationwide.<\/p>\n
