Four Evenings of Mind-Melting Magic with Peter\u2019s friends

Sunday 28th June was the first of four evenings of mind-melting magic featuring two comedians Peter Clifford and his guest Peter Wardell.<\/p>\n
The performance contains the same ‘wow’ factor of illusionists such as Derren Brown. Peter\u2019s magic tricks were astounding. The audience was totally blown away by the whole evening, but what really gave the night the edge was the comedy. It was simply very funny.<\/p>\n
This was also helped by a priceless moment when some of the audience members accidentally told the comedian what they had done when they weren\u2019t supposed to.<\/p>\n
Every trick was mind blowing and witty. Just as you thought the illusion was finished, he would add an extra element to it, leaving you in awe.<\/p>\n
Peter wowed the audience with the old Rubik’s Cube in seconds. He then pulled people out of the audience to complete one which had been\u00a0put in a bag so they couldn\u2019t see what was happening until the end result.<\/p>\n
When it was finally pulled out of the bag there was an embarrassing silence. All the sides were not the same! Had we just witnessed a trick that had gone very wrong?<\/p>\n
The answer was no we hadn\u2019t. Peter had got the audience to make the same pattern that was on a cube net hung on the wall prior to the start of the trick.<\/p>\n
Peter has performed all over the world, enchanting audiences with his gentle charisma and powerful effects. He has worked as a magic advisor creating effects for many theatre shows. As well as performing on television himself, Peter is part of a creative team for the award winning Derren Brown television programme and theatre tour.<\/p>\n
The second illusionist Peter Wardell, a Gold Star member of the inner magic circle, used short and sharp illusions, a complete opposite to the Peter Clifford, making a refreshing change. He used more tricks of the hand and at one point pulled a champagne bottle out of a popping balloon.<\/p>\n
Watching the two\u00a0Peters at the Tobacco Factory Theatre was an intense and intimate experience. Although the Tobacco Factory can house a large studio audience, the seating on 3 sides of the space creates a venue where the audience are sat incredibly close to the illusionist.<\/p>\n
