{"id":34547,"date":"2018-05-12T13:44:05","date_gmt":"2018-05-12T12:44:05","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/chopsybaby.com\/magazine\/?p=34547"},"modified":"2018-09-10T12:11:35","modified_gmt":"2018-09-10T11:11:35","slug":"bristol-haematology-and-oncology-centre-bhoc-will-re-open-after-fire-damage-repairs","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/chopsybaby.com\/magazine\/bristol-haematology-and-oncology-centre-bhoc-will-re-open-after-fire-damage-repairs\/","title":{"rendered":"Bristol Haematology and Oncology Centre (BHOC) Will Re-Open after Fire Damage Repairs"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Bristol Haematology and Oncology Centre (BHOC) Re Opening<\/strong>: Urgent radiotherapy and chemotherapy appointments are still going ahead on other sites, but Bristol Haematology and Oncology Centre (BHOC) is unlikely to be open for a week.<\/p>\n<p>The building became victim to a fire in the early hours of Thursday morning, causing patients to be evacuated from the hospital and moved to other locations.<\/p>\n<p>Whilst power has been restored by generator, clean up and repair has began with the plan that the clinical teams will be able to move back into the BHOC at the end of next week.<\/p>\n<p>Checks and infection controls will still need to take place, but the hospital is aiming to be back in business and restarting their clinical services from Monday 21 May.<\/p>\n<p>The hospital says: &#8216;We will provide urgent radiotherapy to some patients this weekend and are providing chemotherapy to patients in other sites within our hospitals.
