It&#8217;s easy to reach on public transport, has plenty of facilities, beach space, accessible water and you never feel crammed in with other families.<\/p>\n<p>It is of course the home of one of three Butlin&#8217;s resorts, which probably comes with equal blessings and curses for local residents.<\/p>\n<p>This half term, we found ourselves at the Minehead Premier Inn for one night. Whilst the brand has a commercial reputation for guaranteeing a good night&#8217;s sleep with its clever marketing, what is it really like to stay in a Premier Inn?<\/p>\n<p>We paid \u00a343 for one night in a family room at the hotel, which is based just a ten minute walk from the beach.<\/p>\n<p>The room was a good size, very light and airy with adjustable temperature settings. Importantly, it was clean and fresh. Bedding again was clean and comfortable, with the kind of bed you want to take home.<\/p>\n<p>As good as their word, the hotel was surprisingly quiet for the number of guests it had with no disturbances of any kind.<\/p>\n<p>The price of the hotel fluctuates throughout the season. It&#8217;s worth watching the price of rooms and grabbing them when they drop to the price you are prepared to pay for them.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a343 was excellent value for money.
