With the looming A-Level and GCSE exam results day, research from Directgov reveals that 45 per cent of young people will be turning to their parents for advice about their future options.<\/p>\n
This is likely to cause problems because a whopping 89 per cent of parents are worrying about being able to provide the right advice and guidance for their children during this time.<\/p>\n
More than one in four parents are not fully aware of all the options and new services available for children once they leave education<\/p>\n
The government has now launched a new online resource for parents and their children leaving education called What’s Next.<\/p>\n
The joint initiative between the Department for Work and Pensions, the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills, and the Department for Children, Schools and Families will bring together advice and career options.<\/p>\n
