The Bristol Harbourside is a glorious mixture of free attractions, lazy days watching boats or exploring Bristol tourist attractions.

Weekdays tend to be the quietest times to visit, with weekends turning into a thriving mix of residents, tourists and Bristolians, all enjoying the atmosphere and range of leisure options available.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

M Shed is one of the obvious stop-offs, with its free exhibitions on Bristol’s history, electric cargo cranes – currently being refurbished – and on occasions, steam train rides along the harbour. Unfortunately, Covid has put paid to a lot of events at the moment, though M Shed has recently reopened to pre-booked visitors.

A short stroll from the M Shed is Brunel’s SS Great Britain<\/a>. The famous ship has been restored from the wreck it was left as and makes for a fabulous day out. Ticket entry to the ship includes free return visits for a year, making this one of the most interesting attractions as well as cost effective. This is perfect for families who can turn trips to the ship into regular days out throughout the year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the Bristol Harbourside there is always something going on. If you just fancy a quiet morning or afternoon, the working harbour features a continuing stream of watercraft and activities.

If you’re lucky, you will be able to spot larger boats and ships in operation.

There are plenty of food and drink opportunities on all sides of the Harbour, including temporary toilet facilities.
