A Bristol organisation providing facilitated play sessions for disabled children, as well as much-needed support for their carers and families, has been shortlisted for a funding grant.
Incredible Kids are now asking the public to help them by voting when shopping in Tesco.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The organisation is one of three community groups shortlisted for the Tesco Community Grants initiative, which awards grants of up to \u00a31,500 to local projects.
Voting is open in all Tesco stores in October, November and December. Customers cast votes using a token given to them at the check-out each time they shop.
“We started Incredible 9 years ago, after we lost access to a local play based centre for our children,” Incredible Kids founder Jennie Prewett says.
“Started by a few passionate families we have grown exponentially and now have over 650 families who regularly use our service. The need for what we do is clear, and we really appreciate all the support.\u201d
The Tesco Community Grants scheme has awarded more than \u00a390 million to over 40,000 community projects since it launched. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
