We&#8217;ve been staying at various locations in and around Brean, Berrow and Weston Super Mare since around 2017. We&#8217;ve done camping with tents, pods, Euro Tents, static caravan hire, hotels and chalets at a John Fowler site and&#8230;Pontin&#8217;s.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As a single parent, non-driving and neurodivergent family from Bristol, we&#8217;ve sussed out that Golden Sands is a brilliant option for location, public transport links, a quiet site with direct beach access, no loud noise yet close to everything else in and around Brean.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>What&#8217;s more, the caravan accommodation is always spotlessly clean and feels fresh even though the turnaround between guests must be tight.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Holiday Resort Unity Brean Review 2022\" width=\"800\" height=\"450\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/biia7djzsTI?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><figcaption>Direct Link: <a href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/biia7djzsTI\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">https:\/\/youtu.be\/biia7djzsTI<\/a><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>We spent four night at Golden Sands during the Easter 2022 school summer holiday and had such a fab time we thought it was worth writing about and sharing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The photos and videos were taken at the end of our four-night stay, which is why the linen has been bagged up and the accommodation has a lived-in feel. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Golden Sands is part of the main Holiday Resort Unity campsite, but located just under a mile down the road. The main campsite is also excellent, but it is huge and busy, making the Golden Sands site ideal for people who want the best of both worlds. Guests staying on both sites have privilege passes for the entertainment, discounts on swimming and access to RJ&#8217;s Entertainment and Restaurant on the main beach<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>It can&#8217;t be more than one to two minutes walk to the beach from caravans at Golden Sands, although access is not suitable for guests with mobility issues as it comes through the sand dunes. But it does make popping to and from the beach if you have forgotten something or just fancy quick visits or walks through the day or evening so much easier.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Brean Beach and Berrow Sands are beautiful beaches, stretching all the way to Burnham on Sea. When it gets really busy in peak season, it never feels overcrowded. The sea is of course tidal, so it&#8217;s worth checking online when high tide is, if this is important to you. Care should also be taken not to wander out in the mud, which is incredibly dangerous when the fast tide is coming in. Once you feel the consistency start to change, just don&#8217;t go any further. You won&#8217;t reach the water which is probably several miles out no matter how close it looks. But generally, with alertness, this is a very safe beach and the sunsets are wild.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Prices for caravan holidays in Brean during peak season do tend to be more expensive but you do get what you pay for here.
