{"id":42203,"date":"2022-08-25T16:28:39","date_gmt":"2022-08-25T15:28:39","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/chopsybaby.com\/magazine\/?p=42203"},"modified":"2022-08-25T16:28:40","modified_gmt":"2022-08-25T15:28:40","slug":"first-cost-of-living-payments-due-in-september","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/chopsybaby.com\/magazine\/first-cost-of-living-payments-due-in-september\/","title":{"rendered":"First Cost of Living Payments Due in September"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Families receiving tax credits, will be getting their first Cost of Living Payment from Friday 02 September 2022 &#8211; if they&#8217;ve not already received it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The \u00a3326 government payment will automatically be paid into the accounts of eligible tax credits claimants between 02 &#8211; 07 September.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The second means-tested payment of \u00a3324 will be issued later this year. DWP benefit claimants will receive theirs from the autumn and tax credit claimants only from the winter.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In addition to the Cost of Living Payment, other support includes: <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>\u00a3400 discount from the Government to help with the cost of energy bills from October onwards<\/li><li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bristol.gov.uk\/residents\/council-tax\/council-tax-rebate\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">\u00a3150 council tax rebate for council tax bands A-D in England<\/a><\/li><li>\u00a3300 Pensioner Cost of Living Payment that will be paid alongside Winter Fuel Payments<\/li><li>\u00a3150 Disability Cost of Living Payment from 20 September for those receiving an eligible UK disability benefit.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">HM Revenue &amp; Customs (HMRC) says: &#8216;If customers believe they are eligible but have not received a payment between the published payment dates, they should wait until 16 September at the earliest to contact us, to allow time for their payment to be processed.
