A massive 74 per cent of mums start a business before their child is two years old.<\/p>\n
Those would-be mumpreneurs who are toying with the idea themselves would benefit from a visit to the Earls Court Baby Show.<\/p>\n
As well as being packed with more than 250 family related business to research, star of the Dragons’ Den Deborah Meaden will be appearing on Sunday 18 October to support her current investments and advise other up-and-coming mumpreneurs.<\/p>\n
The clever Buggyboot, a storage device and step for lightweight buggies was launched in 2008 by mums Charlotte Evans and Carolyn Jarvis.<\/p>\n
Deborah invested \u00a380k for 30 per cent of Buggyboot.com and since then has won an exclusive contract with Mothercare.<\/p>\n
Another Dragons’ Den success story appearing at the show is the\u00a0 Neil and Laura Westwood who secured \u00a3100,000 from Theo Paphitis and Deborah Meaden for their Magic Blackout Blind.<\/p>\n
Viewers will see both the Buggyboot and Magic Blackout Blind\u2019s success stories again as a follow up stories on Dragons’ Den on Tour on 7 October 9pm on BBC2.<\/p>\n
Businesses famed for ditching the Dragons’ investments Rob Law’s Trunki\u00a0and Helen Wooldridge’s\u00a0 and Polly Marsh’s Cuddledry who have all stormed to success, will also be exhibiting at the show.<\/p>\n
The Baby Show is the UK’s largest parenting event. As well as stall, parents will be informed and entertained by shows running through out the day. The event is as parent and pregnancy friendly as imaginable and there will be the chance to enter the Prima Baby’s Search for the Face of The Baby Show.<\/p>\n
