Young people moving from unemployment back into the work place will be better off.<\/p>\n
The guarantee comes from Work and Pensions Secretary Yvette Cooper today.<\/p>\n
More than 100,000 new opportunities for the under 25s, including training and work experience, will be available to those still unemployed after six months.<\/p>\n
A new Back to Work credit will be given to everyone on benefits for at least six months, regardless of age, making them at least \u00a340 a week better off when moving back into work.<\/p>\n
Yvette Cooper believes that a radical reform to the welfare system is needed to help people out of poverty and back into the work place.<\/p>\n
She said: \u201cThis means that everyone – be they lone parents, carers or disabled people – will get the support they need, not only to get work but to stay in work.\u00a0 We will also guarantee that people will be better off in a job than on benefits.”<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
