Traditional stay-at-home roles are beginning to reverse as more dads stay home to raise children than ever before.<\/p>\n
In fact, according to research by Aviva, the number of dads in the UK staying home to care for children with dependent children under the age of 16 has risen ten times in as many years.<\/p>\n
Ten years ago, it was only 60,000 men taking over the role of child raising, now it is more than 600,000 with a further 18 per cent of couples sharing childcare equally.<\/p>\n
Despite their vital role bringing in the household income, 37 per cent of women feel guilty about going out to work and leaving their children, with 15 per cent admitting to occasionally resenting their partner’s role.<\/p>\n
A whopping 75 per cent of dads questioned for the research said they felt lucky to be able to spend this precious time with their children compared to just 17 per cent who wished they could earn more and go back to work instead.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
