Chopsy Baby is reviewing… Stuck by Oliver Jeffers

Chopsy Baby Says: “Another brilliant book by Oliver Jeffers.”

Rating: 10/10

Oliver Jeffers’ latest book Stuck, is a modern version of the Little Old Lady who Swallowed a Fly. When Floyd’s kite gets stuck in a tree, the easiest thing to do would be to get an adult to help. Of course, Jeffers’ inventive and imaginative characters aren’t going to take the easy way. Floyd decides to knock it out of the tree by throwing a shoe, and let’s face it, many adults would try the same method. But then Floyd really starts getting in a pickle when his shoe becomes stuck too. Now he needs to throw something else to knock the shoe out. And so it continues…

Best for ages:
Three years upwards.

Best of all…
A delightful story full of Jeffers’ usual wit, imagination and fantastic story telling.

Could improve…
Nothing.

Basically…
A must for the family library.
