Mums want creative play rather than faddy toys

Creative play should make up 75 per cent of a child’s day according to UK mums.

A study by Playmobil asked 1000 mums how they wanted their child to play and what to play with.

A whopping 89 per cent of mums wanted their child to play with creative and traditional toys rather than the latest craze.

A 56 per cent would buy play sets and train sets rather than computer or academic games.

Spokesperson for Playmobil, Jamie Dickinson said: “Developing a child’s imagination and letting them be children, is a vital part of their childhood. The results of this research show how, even in this tech generation, British mums still favour traditional toys that allow them to interact with their children and include the whole family.”
