Gruffalo to scare crows at Old Down

Birds across Old Down Country Park will be sent flying by a pack of sinister characters waiting to greet them.

A competition to create a silly scarecrow for the venue has seen more than 20 entries from local schools and residents.

Designs included Brownies, a pirate, a Dracula and even a mermaid.

The winning entry came from Frampton Cotterell CE Primary School with a Gruffalo and baby Gruffalo design.

They are celebrating winning a special VIP day out at Old Down followed by a special Party lunch in the Old Down Cafe.
