Dads, just don’t think about hiding on Christmas Day
Dads, just don’t even think about it. Christmas is about spending time with the family, eating food timed by smoke detector and putting up with your over-excited children.
This warning comes on the back of evidence discovered by GreatLittleIdeas.com, who found a third of men are planning to avoid time with the family on Christmas Day by escaping on a dog walk, watching TV in a different room, faking illness or going to the pub.
But men nationwide, just don’t. Further facts the study revealed was that mum doesn’t get to sit down and relax on the big day until 5pm. So do not sneak away and anger it.
Commenting on the survey, psychologist Anjula Mutanda, said: “Women’s balance of work to relaxation over Christmas can result in an emotional powder keg. The need to attain perfection leads to high stress levels, women put themselves under enormous pressure to provide the best environment, the best meal and create happy memories because they believe that this is what is expected of them.”
