Hoppity Frog has Two Clever Eyes – new resource to help parents treat child’s lazy eye

A new rhyming story, colouring and activity book has been launched to help children with amblyopia.

More commonly known as lazy eye, the book Hoppity Frog – has been created by orthoptist Hazel Kay.

“It can’t be underestimated how much help and support many families need
to carry out patching treatment effectively,” she says.

Hazel created the book after her many years helping children and their families treat the condition.

The visual impairment is effectively treatable before the age of eight, but difficult to get young children to cooperate.

The story of Hoppity Frog aims to engage children in a fun, accessible way and leave them working with their parents when it comes to treatment.
